This includes accidents, illnesses, and any activities-related issues. Your membership is your pledge to accept personal responsibility for having read the rules and policies, your commitment to the health and safety of your household and guests and the community at large. It is each adult's responsibility to educate household members and guests and to recognize that you are accepting this responsibility when you complete your membership forms. I understand and agree that the Falconbridge Homeowners Association and its agents, volunteers, officers and employees are not responsible for any illness or death that may be legally determined to have arisen as a result of my participation or presence on any community property. I waive release and discharge the FHA, its agents, officers, volunteers, and employees from any and all claims, demands, costs, and liabilities. The facilities are open for members' use on an AT YOUR OWN RISK basis only. As with ALL illness symptoms, exercise caution and make healthy choices to protect yourself and your neighbors. GUESTS Members households may bring up to 5 guests who do not reside in Falconbridge. Falconbridge residents must join to participate. An adult member of the household MUST accompany the guests at ALL times, no exceptions. Members are responsible for educating and monitoring guests' behaviors to prevent loss of guest privileges. More than 5 guests will incur a charge as a "party" situation. Must be pre-approved. POOL HOURS Dawn to Dusk. Pool hours will change with sunrises and sunsets and times are posted accordingly. SIGN IN All members are required to sign in each time they enter the facility and to answer all areas of the forms at the front door. NO ONE should ever be given your access code who is not a member of your household and of the facility. SWIMMING Children under the ages of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. *Adult caregivers of children must be pre-approved to accompany the children without the adult member presence. Children who are unable to swim must be accompanied by an adult who is in the water with them. Please enjoy visiting with friends or a good book, but always have one eye on your children for their safety and your peace of mind. SWIM LESSONS Falconbridge FHA and RFC want our young members to be safe and confident in the water. It is the parents' responsibility to teach water safety and to provide lessons. However, paid swim instruction must be PRE-APPROVED by the FHA Board of Directors, no exceptions. Only fully insured instructors will be allowed. OTHER Members of the Recreational Facilities Committee are authorized to monitor and address issues without facing confrontation. Disagreements with policies and requests should never be "discussed" in the presence of other members. The FHA Board is happy to meet with the member to review a grievance at a time agreed upon by both parties. Only authorized persons may be in the pool shed or pump house. Swimming alone is dangerous. Please use the buddy system and swim with another adult present. By accepting this waiver, I accept responsibility and liability for any residents of my household who are under 16 years old. Children and adults who are unable to swim may use the pool only if they are accompanied by an adult who is physically in the water and supervising them. Children under the age of eighteen (16) or any person not capable of looking out for him or herself must be supervised by a parent, guardian, or responsible caregiver (16 years or older). Adult caregivers of children must be pre-approved to accompany the children without the adult member's presence. By signing this waiver, I accept responsibility and liability for all guests of my household and understand that I must accompany my guests at all times when visiting the pool and clubhouse. I accept responsibility for ensuring that my guests observe these rules and the general pool rules posted in the clubhouse. No smoking, including e-cigarettes, is permitted at any time. Members must not enter the pool area before sunrise and must be out of the pool area at sunset. All equipment, pool safety lane ropes, table and chairs must be put back where they belong. No pets are allowed except certified service animals. The clubhouse doors allowing access to the pool must be locked and secured at all times. I understand and will comply with all the rules listed above as well as the general pool rules. They are available at https://falconbridgehoa.org/pool/, are posted in the Falconbridge Clubhouse, and are listed below. 2022 Falconbridge Clubhouse Access ****DO NOT SHARE YOUR CODE WITH ANYONE OUTSIDE YOUR IMMEDIATE HOUSEHOLD**** You are responsible for the use of this code and maintaining the security of the building. This code is assigned to your household only. A record of each entry is maintained in the lock software, showing the date and time of use. Please maintain personal control of this code. It is for use by members of your household only who live in Falconbridge. Sharing this code with other individuals will result in forfeiture of your pool membership without refund. Immediately contact the RFC at contact@falconbridgehoa.org if you feel like your code is being used by someone not from your household or from this neighborhood. We will gladly provide you with a new code. ========================================== Falconbridge Community Pool Rules and Regulations The pool is open during published operating hours to Members in good standing, their guests, babysitters and caregivers. A Member’s babysitter or caregiver is considered a guest when they accompany their charges. Children under the age of sixteen (16) or any person not capable of looking out for him or herself must be supervised by a parent, guardian, or responsible caregiver (16 years or older). A member of the RFC may challenge the qualifications of the responsible person if actions warrant. Adult caregivers of children must be pre-approved to accompany the children without the adult member's presence. All Members, children, babysitters, caregivers and guests are required to abide by the Pool Rules and at all times. Failure to comply may lead to suspension of pool privileges. Members of the Recreational Facilities Committee (RFC) enforce the Rules and Regulations and have the authority to ask persons who are not abiding by these Rules and Regulations to leave the pool area immediately. Only authorized persons are allowed in the pool area when the pool is closed. Any unauthorized use will be treated as trespass, and violators will be subject to arrest and criminal prosecution. All Members must complete the sign-in sheet in the foyer each time they visit the pool. This information is needed for Emergency personnel in case of an accident, since the Manager on Duty does not have immediate access to the logs maintained in the door lock. Children and adults who are unable to swim may use the pool only if they are accompanied by an adult who is physically in the water and supervising them. United States Coast Guard approved flotation devices for infants and toddlers are recommended. Look for the USCG stamp of approval. Guests: Your household may bring up to five (5) guests to the pool and clubhouse who are not Falconbridge residents. Falconbridge residents must join the pool in order to use it. An adult Member must accompany, and is responsible for, guests at all times. Groups of 6 or more are considered a party, and rental fees and conditions apply. Swimming alone is dangerous. For your safety and well-being, we strongly suggest that you swim with another adult present. Swimmers must wear appropriate swim suits. Thongs, cut-offs, torn t-shirts, and street clothing are not permitted. Rubber-soled pool shoes are permitted. Only authorized persons are permitted in the storage shed or pump room. All accidents or injuries must be reported to the RFC Manager on Duty (phone 919-391-9023) immediately. Prohibited activities: Running, pushing, acrobatics, wrestling, fighting, spitting, horseplay, unsafe or unruly behavior, or causing undue disturbances (may lead to suspension of pool privileges). Diving into water less than five (5) feet deep. The pool and deck are marked accordingly. Standing on kickboards. Water guns or water spraying toys of any kind. Wheeled toys, skateboards, or roller blades. Loud music. Smoking on pool property, including the pool deck, Clubhouse, upper terrace, grounds, parking lot, or pickle ball courts. This includes e-cigarettes or similar products. Glass containers are not allowed on the pool deck and upper terrace. Paper, plastic and cans are allowed. No Food or drink in the pool. Infants/toddlers wearing disposable diapers or cloth diapers. Any members or guests who are not toilet trained or are incontinent are required to wear a swim diaper covered by plastic or waterproof pants. Pets, except for certified service animals. Suspension of Facilities Privileges: The FHA Board has the authority to suspend Members and/or guests from the pool based on the advice and recommendations of the Recreational Facilities Committee. Members and/or guests suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to use the pool and will be asked to leave the premises. Non-compliance with these Rules and Regulations may result in suspension. Pool privileges may be suspended for the remainder of the day or longer (as the infraction warrants). Subsequent action may be taken by the FHA Board of Directors and may include revoking a Member’s pool privileges for any length of time, including the remainder of the pool season. Repeated violations or conduct detrimental to others may result in termination of facilities membership. Eviction from the pool or suspension of pool privileges for non-compliance with these Rules and Regulations by a Member or their guest(s) shall not entitle the Member to a refund of their membership fee either in whole or in part. Lap Swimming is available in all lanes until 9 a.m. daily. After 9 a.m. lap swimming is available in the far lane (closest to the lake) and swimmers and lap swimmers should respect and cooperate with one another. The FHA Board is not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Items left at the pool or Clubhouse will be placed in the lost-and-found basket by the Clubhouse door. Any unclaimed items will be disposed of at the end of the season. The pool may be closed, and the pool, deck, and Clubhouse cleared at the discretion of the Manager on Duty or SAG (pool maintenance) for inclement weather, unsanitary water conditions, maintenance, or other reasons. Inclement weather includes lightning or thunderstorms, hail, or heavy rain that block observation of the bottom of the pool, and any other climatic conditions that may endanger pool users. The pool will remain closed for 30 minutes after each clap of thunder. The pool will remain closed for 30 minutes after every sighting of lightning. If a storm occurs within an hour of closing, the pool may be closed for the evening. The Manager on Duty may clear or close the pool for any unsafe water quality issues including equipment failure. If a “bathroom accident” occurs in the pool, the pool must be cleaned at a cost of $150 (minimum) and remain closed for 24 hours (Health Department code). The responsible household will be billed for the cost of clean-up. Approved floats and balls may be allowed in the pool at the discretion of the Manager on Duty. Featherweight Nerf balls and beach balls are approved, as are Styrofoam noodles and small floatation devices for children. Large floatation devices interfere with seeing the bottom of the pool, which impairs the safety of our swimmers. Restrict your floats to 30 inches or less. ========================================= Falconbridge Pickleball Pickleball is a private club under the auspices of the FHA.
